On Thursday 28th September 2023, Dr Chris Bonett, Parliamentary Secretary for European Funds, paid a visit to Mater Boni Consilii St Joseph School Paola. He was welcomed by Dr Kenneth Vella, Head of school and during his visit, Dr Bonett visited the Grade 5 and Grade 6 classes. He participated in two interesting Maths lessons during which the students were making use of the educational tablets as part of the one-tablet-per-child scheme.
During this visit, Dr Bonett held discussions with Ms Nicole Inguanez and Ms Maria Agius, class teachers, about the use of the tablets during lessons. The Parliamentary Secretary also discussed with the students the importance of the funding provided by the European Union to the member countries, particularly the investment made in the education of children.
