On Tuesday 1st June 2021, President Emeritus Marie Louise Coleiro Preca paid a courtesy visit at Mater Boni Consilii St Joseph School, Paola and was presented with the money which was collected during Earth Day held last month at school in aid of the Malta Trust Foundation. The school council members, welcomed President Emeritus who was then greeted by students in the school yard. After Dr Vella’s introductory speech, H.E. Coleiro Preca addressed the students and expressed her gratitude for the students’ efforts in donating money to other children in need. She also thanked the students, staff and their parents for donating foodstuff during the Easter holidays and which were donated to families in need. The school council members presented the cheque to H.E. Coleiro Preca while the Eko Skola committee members also presented her with a commemorative plaque. Her Excellency was eager to meet all the girls and members of staff during her visit. We thank H.E. Coleiro Preca for accepting the school’s visit and also for her sterling work in helping so many organizations in Malta.
