On Wednesday 1st March 2023, the Grade 6 class had a special visit from Mr Raniero and his daughter. They gave the girls an educational presentation and an excellent first-hand experience about the condition of our seas. They emphasised the importance of disposing waste correctly and to avoid polluting our shores. They also spoke to the girls about disposing plastic and bulk refuse properly. Mr Raniero talked about his experience over the last 40 years as a diver and as a volunteer to clean the seabed. Furthermore, the girls were thrilled when the speakers gave them some shells to hold and to listen to the sound of the waves. They were fascinated. At the end of the presentation, they showed the girls some craft they can do with plastic found on the shores and in the sea.
