Minister Justyne Caruana’s Visit to School – May 2021


On Monday 31st May 2021, the school welcomed Hon. Minister of Education Dr. Justyne Caruana for a courtesy visit in connection with the fish oil project (Omega3) pilot project which was launched last October. Minister Caruana was welcomed by the school council members, Kelly Magro, Ilenia Fabri, Mariah Vella and Kloe Farrugia. The minister was ushered to the school yard where she was greeted by the students who are participating in the project. Mariah Vella, of Grade 6, introduced the event after which Dr Kenneth Vella, the school Headmaster, delivered a welcome speech. Mr Charles Micallef, an independent researcher who collaborated with the school to introduce this project, spoke to the students about the benefits of the fish oil vitamin. Minister Caruana then delivered a speech about the project. She then presented the vitamin to some students. At the end of the visit, Minister Caruana visited some classes. Thanks to Hon. Minister Caruana who accepted the school’s invite to meet the students who are participating in this project and to the Ministry of Education for their constant support.
