The Grade 1 class recently had a hands-on planting session as part of the EkoSkola/L.E.A.F. school project. The girls started off the activity with soil testing investigation. Then, they planted some tomatoes in the school yard pots. Also, as part of their Science and My World and Me lessons, they planted sunflower seeds to learn how plants need water and sun to grow. They also planted some herbs as part of the class theme of the week, food. The activity was led by Ms Donna Muscat, with the help of Ms Charlotte Zammit, Ms Christine Mallia and Ms Marystellah Zerafa.
