On Friday 13th May 2022, the Grade 5 students went on a day trip to Gozo. They started off their day with a visit to Dreams of Horses Farm, which is a working farm that takes care of abandoned or abused animals, mostly horses. The girls learned about their rehabilitation process and got to visit the stables. They also visited other areas of the farm with different animals, and even got the opportunity to go into the goats’ pen and play with them for some time. Next stop was Xwejni Bay to visit the island’s famous salt pans, followed by lunch at Marsalforn Bay. Finally, the day was ended with a visit to the Cittadella. The girls went to the Visitor’s Centre where they watched a short film about Cittadella’s historic past, visited the Gozitan Cathedral and walked through the walled city, discovering places which they learnt about during their Social Studies lesson. The girls really enjoyed this education outing. Special thanks to Ms. Nicole Inguanez, Ms. Julia Buttigieg and Ms. Christine Mallia who coordinated the outing and accompanied the girls on this trip.
