On Friday 12th May, Grade 5 students went on an educational outing organised by the Symbol Literacy Project. This took place in Mdina where they relived the siege of 1429 and engaged with issues of slavery and bullying. Divided into two groups, Maltese people and pirates, they re-animated the battle with swords and spears. Apart from this, at the Cathedral’s Museum, they observed Mattia’s Preti painting and interpreted main symbols. The students were very prepared and participated very well in all discussions.
