On Wednesday 13th May 2026, the school celebrated the Crowning of our Lady. Students from different classes recited a decade of the rosary each. Zaida Fava, of Senior 2, crowned the statue of our Lady, while Cara Vella, of Grade 3, was the crown bearer. During the celebration, the students sang hymns to honour Blessed Holy Mary. The songs were sung under the direction of Ms Mary Grace Grech, the Music teacher who was accompanied by Kayleen Zahra Cutajar, of Senior 2, who played the violin. Fran Tesia Muscat, of Grade 5, performed a rendition of the song ‘Qudddiem l-Inkwadru tal-Madonna’. After the crowning, Fr Leonard Mintoff, the school chaplain, shared some reflections on our Lady and reminded us that our Lady accompanies us throughout our lives, both in good and challenging moments. Sr Bernardette Gafa’, a member of the congregation of St Joseph of the Apparition, insisted that our Lady is always protective towards us, especially children, whom she loved, and served her to share her love, especially on this day when we celebrate the first apparition of Our Lady of Fatima. A beautiful bouquet of flowers, which was offered to our Lady, was donated by Emma and Chloe’ Casha’s parents. The activity was coordinated by the Pastoral Care Team.
