Senior 2 Geography Presentations

On the 15th January 2015 the Senior 2 students had to present the work they had been working on during their Christmas Holidays.  The students were split into 4 groups and each group was assigned a particular volcanic hazard including lava flows, volcanic ash, volcanic bombs and pyroclastic flows.  The students were asked to design a chart and to write a brief newspaper article highlighting what the hazard is; all this had to be shown in the form of a 10-minute presentation in class.  The students did not only do what was being asked of them, they created very original performances, constructed fully-functional models, designed leaflets and small tokens that were given to all of the students and created quizzes with spot-on prices.  All this was achieved through the determination and collaboration shown between each group members.
