Our Pre Grade and Grade 1 girls recently enjoyed a wonderful outing as part of the “Let’s Talk Farming” project that our school is proudly participating in. It was a day full of hands-on learning and exciting discoveries!
The girls had the opportunity to pet chickens, learn about how eggs are formed, and even collect eggs themselves. They also enjoyed feeding the sheep and donkey, which was a very special experience for many of them. One of the highlights of the day was making a delicious omelette using the eggs they had just collected! To end the visit, each girl planted kale to take home, giving them the chance to continue their learning about farming and growing food. It was a fun and educational outing that helped the girls better understand where our food comes from and the importance of caring for animals and plants.
We are very proud of how curious, enthusiastic, and engaged the girls were throughout the experience!
