On Thursday 23rd October 2025, the Grade 5 class enthusiastically participated in EU Code Week by taking part in an exciting coding workshop held in the school hall. The girls were divided into groups and took part in a station rotation activity, giving everyone the chance to explore each coding challenge in turn.
The stations included coding a physical robot to move to a specific location
, creating conditionals used in programming
, helping a digital alien find its way back home through a series of code
, and even “coding” their own peers!

A special highlight of the workshop was seeing Corinne, a dedicated member of our afterschool robotics club
, take on the role of student leader. She confidently guided one of the stations, sharing her knowledge and enthusiasm for coding with her classmates.
Corinne truly rose to the challenge and proved to be a fantastic teacher to her peers!
