Celebrating the Feast of Saint John Paul II – October 2024

On October 22, the Church celebrates the feast day of Saint John Paul II. To commemorate this day, Ella Pace and Faith Schembri, of Senior 2, shared information about the life of St John Paul II during the assembly. Dr Kenneth Vella, Head of School, recalled the assassination attempt on the Pope’s life and St John Paul II’s willingness to forgive the aggressor. He also mentioned the Pope’s visits to Malta, and encouraged the girls to look up information and photos of the time when Pope John Paul II was in Malta. Dr Vella maintained that the Pope lived a saintly life and we should emulate him in our lives.
