On Wednesday 2nd March 2022, when the Catholic Church commemorated Ash Wednesday, the Grade 5 students had the opportunity to do some reflections in class. The girls discussed the current situation in Ukraine which enabled them to better understand the hardships the country is experiencing. This discussion was linked to the Pope’s wish for us Catholics to offer our personal sacrifices and prayers on Ash Wednesday for the people who are suffering in Ukraine. The girls were each given a prayer card with a message or quote, and they wrote a prayer at the back of the card. Well done to the girls for the prayers. The activity was coordinated by Ms. Nicole Inguanez, the Grade 5 class teacher, with the help of Ms. Lucia Alcahut García and Ms. Christine Mallia.
