The Grade 2 class recently took part in a fun shopping activity as part of their topic on money. The students practised choosing the correct coins to pay for items and worked on giving change correctly. They also enjoyed role-playing as customers and shopkeepers, greeting one another politely and selecting items usually found in a grocer’s shop, including different fruit and vegetables, linking the activity with Let’s Talk Farming programme.
It was a lovely hands-on learning opportunity that helped build the girl’s confidence and understanding of using money in everyday situations.
Thanks to Ms Stephanie Saliba, who led the activity, with the help of Ms Roberta Gatt and Ms Jocelyn Sammut Mizzi.
