Grade 3 Visit to Fire Station 4 Kordin – March 2026

The Grade 3 students recently had the exciting opportunity to visit Fire Station 4 Kordin as part of their learning from the Maltese book ‘Insalvaw u Nipproteġu’. What they had read in their book truly came to life as they saw first-hand how firefighters work to save lives and protect our communities. 🚒👩‍🚒
The children were fascinated as they explored the fire station, saw the equipment up close, and learned about the important role firefighters play every day. One of the highlights of the visit was when the students had the chance to try using the fire hose themselves – an experience they will certainly remember for a long time!
They asked many thoughtful and interesting questions, showing great curiosity about how the firefighters train, respond to emergencies, and work together as a team. The students were also happy to see that there are women firefighters too, showing them that this is a career open to everyone who has the courage, dedication, and determination to serve others.
More than anything, the visit helped the children appreciate the discipline, teamwork, and commitment required for this important job. They left with great admiration for the firefighters who work tirelessly to keep us safe.
A big thank you to the dedicated team at Civil Protection Department Malta for welcoming our students and inspiring them with their work.
