School Calendar Third Term 2024-2025
On the 15th and 22nd of May 2025, the Senior 2 girls participated in their final Home Economics practical session for this scholastic year. During this session, the students prepared a shortcrust pastry using the rubbing-in method and created a pie of their choice. They selected a variety of sweet and savoury fillings, including chicken, ricotta, strawberries, and apples, showcasing their creativity and skills.
To accompany their pies, the girls prepared a refreshing strawberry, mint, and basil drink. Those who opted for a savoury pie also prepared a side salad using fresh lettuce harvested from the school garden, grown by the Eco-Schools team.
Throughout the activity, students learned about the importance of incorporating fibre into their daily meals and explored ways to reduce fat content for healthier cooking. It was a hands-on, educational, and enjoyable way to wrap up the year’s practical sessions.
