Grade 1 Symbol Literacy Outing at Mdina Cathedral – January 2025

On Monday 27th February 2025, the Grade 1 girls went on an educational outing conducted by the National Literacy Agency in collaboration with the Symbol Literacy project. The girls visited the Cathedral museum at Mdina and there, they had the opportunity to observe the painting of an early 17th Century oil on canvas by Pietro D’Asaro entitled Orpheus Enchanting the animals. The session was led by Ms Marica Żammit.The girls also had a roleplay related to the activity. The girls were accompanied by Ms Charlotte Zammit, Ms Shana Calleja and Ms Roberta Gatt.
