School Calendar First Term 2024-2025
On Thursday 23rd January 2025, the school hosted President Emeritus Marie Louise Coleiro Preca as part of the Promoting Online Protection (P.O.P.) project carried out by the Malta Foundation for the Wellbeing of Society. H.E. Coleiro Preca spoke to the girls about the importance of child online protection and emphasised on the importance of the girls to stay safe when interacting with others online. She presented the flashcards which will be distributed to the girls and educators which highlight the main steps to take if a child experiences online abuse. The Senior classes sang 2 songs related to the topic of Online Safety, under the guidance of Ms Mary Grace Grech, the Music teacher.
At the end of the presentation, Dr Kenneth Vella, Head of School, presented a copy of the school publication ‘Lil Din l-Art Ħelwa’ which was written by the Senior students of last scholastic year to commemorate the various anniversaries celebrated in Malta during 2024, mainly 60 years from Malta becoming an Independent State, 50 years from Malta being a Republic State, 45 years from Freedom Day and the 20th anniversary of Malta’s accession into the European Union. H.E. Coleiro Preca commended the students and their teachers, Ms Lycia Bezzina and Ms Rachel Sladden, for the impeccable work.
