World Children’s Book Day Celebration – April 2022

On Monday 4th April 2022, the school celebrated World Children’s Book Day. The girls dressed up in their favourite book character. Some educators also dressed up in a book character. Various activities were organised by the teachers throughout the day like Show and Tell sessions, designing a book mark or a book cover, writing stories and drawing activities for the younger classes. The Pre-Grade class had an activity in the school library. Each class had a Drop Everything and Read activity where the girls had some time of free reading. The Grade 4 class had a virtual reading session with Mr. David Aloisio who spoke to the girls about his work and read an extract from one of his books. The Grade 5 and 6 classes had a virtual reading session with Ms. Claudia Aloisio who explained to the girls her inspiration for her work and also read a chapter from one of her books. The school thanks Klabb Kotba Maltin for these online sessions with Mr. Aloisio and Ms. Aloisio which the girls really enjoyed. Well done to all the educators who organised the interesting activities to celebrate World Children’s Book Day.
