The Second Day of Finnish Education and Pedagogy Conference 2019


Friday 15 th February 2019 saw the second day of the Finnish Education and Pedagogy Conference at the Dolmen Hotel Qawra organised by Mater Boni Consilii St. Joseph Paola with the participation of around 150 educators, teachers and members of SMT.
 
The official opening of the second day of the International Workshop was done by H.E. President Emeritus of Malta, Dr. Ugo Mifsud Bonnici former Minister of Education and Chairman of the Tumas Fenech Foundation for Education in Journalism. The Hon. Clyde Puli, Shadow Minister for Education was also present for the second day of the conference. In his message he emphasised how important it is for our country to focus on investing and supporting in the educators.
 
The workshops were led by Ms. Johanna Jarvinen- Taubert (Pedagogocal Director of Learning Scoop, Finland). The themes discussed throughout the morning were Multidisciplinary learning modules in Finnish basic education, Phenomena- based learning in Finland and integrating physical activity into the teaching of different subjects.
 
At the end of the event, Dr Rose Anne Cuschieri, CEO of NCFHE was invited by Dr Vella Head of School to present the certificates to all the participants.
