Senior 1 Home Economics Practical Session

On the 15th and 22nd of February 2022, during the Home Economics lesson, the Senior 1 students had a practical where they prepared a healthy lunch. Before doing so, the girls had the opportunity to go and pick up fresh eggs from our school garden to use them as ingredients in their bread. The girls discussed the benefits of eating eggs which come from organic chicken farming as they are a source of protein and a good source of nutrients to eat for our health. The girls did a sandwich using wholemeal bread and filled it with a fresh salad, cheese and tuna. The dish was complemented with an orange and lemon drink which the girls made from scratch. The activity was coordinated by Ms. Rachel Sladden, the Home Economics teacher, with the help of Ms. Elaine Azzopardi and Ms. Katia Camilleri.
