On Tuesday 11th and 18th January 2022 respectively, the two groups of Senior 1 Home Economics students were assigned a task that gave them the opportunity to practise some basic cooking skills. The students chose two skills and demonstrated them in the Home Economics lab. The task required students to become familiar with chopping, dicing, peeling, slicing, grating, and cutting – skills which are all used whilst cooking. Moreover, the girls practised proper hygiene practices by keeping their distance from their peers, wiping the surface of their worktop, and washing their hands and dishes.
