During Lent our school organizes a series of Lenten Talks or seminars for the different classes to cater for the different age groups. Senior 1s and 2s were taken outside the school premises on Thursday the 3rd of March 2016; they were taken to San Bastjan Youth Centre Qormi and with the help of Fr. Brian Gialanze and the accompanying teacher, a series of workshops were organised for the students.
The main themes discussed there were: Friendship, Bullying, Forgiveness, Immigrants, Homeless – drug addicts – exclusion – outcast of society and Inclusion; these themes were specifically chosen to focus on Pope Francis’s reflections on the Year of Mercy.
