Science Fieldwork for Senior Classes – May 2022

On the 16th and 17th May 2022, the Senior 2 and Senior 1 students respectively, went on a Science and Geography fieldwork at St. Thomas Bay. The girls walked on the Munxar path to reach a secluded beach where they observed and took measurements to study the beach ecology. They also conducted a litter survey. In the fields above, the students measured the abundance of some of the plant species and also discussed the effect of coastal overdevelopment. Thanks to Ms. Madeleine Agius Carbonaro, the Science teacher, and Ms. Lycia Bezzina, the Geography and History teacher who coordinated the fieldwork. The girls were also accompanied by Ms. Elaine Azzopardi, Ms. Katia Camilleri and Ms. Annie Tobien.
