On Friday 6th March 2020, Dr. Kenneth Vella HOS during break assembly reminded the students about International Women’s Day that is celebrated on March the 8th. During the assembly Dr. Vella spoke about the History of Women’s Day and reminded the girls about the rights of women and how women around different parts of the world are still fighting for certain rights – like the right to drive. The headmaster also referred to Maltese Women from various walks of life, who were a credit to society achieved through their hard work and talents. Dr. Vella told the girls that they should look at these women to be inspired and also emphasised that later on in their life they ought not to let conventions limit them in reaching their goals of continuing their studies and having a career in whatever field they wish just as much as men.
