On Friday 24th September 2021, the school organised a talk about basic life support during the second day of school for the staff. Dr Mark Abela, cardiology specialist explained the issue of cardiac arrest and the importance of prompt action when someone experiences cardiac arrest. Dr Sander Grima a medical doctor at the Accident and Emergency Department at Mater Dei Hospital, gave a live demonstration on how to apply cardiopulmonary resuscitation in adults and children and also how to use the AED defibrillator. Thanks to Dr Abela and Dr Grima for the interesting and informative session.
