Presentation of the Speech Therapy Sessions to School Staff  – September 2021

On Thursday 23rd September 2021, a presentation was held by Dr Rosario Mizzi and Ms Claudia Schembri, speech language pathologists within the Primary Health Care. They introduced a pilot project which is being held at our school after the signing of a memorandum of agreement between our school and the Ministry of Health. During the presentation, they explained the programme to the educators where they will be offering speech therapy sessions to our students. These sessions will be held within our premises during the school day. Our school is the first Church school in Malta which will participate in this project. The school thanks Ms. Rosanne Camilleri, chief executive officer within the Primary Health Care, for taking up this initiative and to Mr. Rosario Mizzi, speech and language pathologist, and his colleagues within the Ministry of Health for collaborating with the school on this project. Special thanks also goes to Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health, Mr Chris Fearne, for his support towards the school and towards the implementation of this pilot project for the service of our students.
