On Thursday 30th March 2023, our school celebrated Our Lady of Sorrows mass at Christ the King Basilica. Mass was celebrated by Fr Leonard Mintoff, the school chaplain. Mass was animated by the girls. The choir was led by Ms Mary Grace Grech, the Music teacher, who was accompanied by Krista Pisani, Julia Vella, Kayleen Zahra Cutajar, Hayley Spiteri, Victoria Maria Grech who played the violin, Sarah Sacco who played the oboe, while Yasmine Pullicino and Ms Marica Grieco Falanga played the guitar. The Grade 6 students formed the school choir. Flowers which were brought to school by the students, were offered during mass. Towards the end of mass, Ms Rachel Sladden, the Maltese teacher, read the poem L-Għanja tal-Imnikket which was written by Maltese poet, Rużar Briffa.
Thanks to the Pastoral Care Team, Ms Mary Grace Grech, Ms Elisa Saliba, Ms Charlotte Zammit, Ms Lycia Bezzina and Ms Alexia Brincau for co-ordinating the celebration. Thanks also to the numerous parents who attended mass and donated flowers for the occasion.
