On Friday 12th July 2019, there was the official start of the programme – My Future-Learning About My Prospects, organised by MIM (Malta Institute of Management) in collaboration with Mater Boni Consilii St. Joseph School Paola. A group of secondary year students were welcomed at the BOV Centre, Cannon Road Sta. Venera by Ms. Victoria Azzopardi. This was the first visit in a number of visits scheduled for the students to explore what their future prospects could be.
During their visit at the BOV Centre the students, participated actively in a number of engaging sessions and presentations prepared for them. The students learnt about the various services that the BOV offers and also about the different departments they would be able to pursue a career in, in the future. During the introductory overview John Holland’s Six Personality types were mentioned. And the students were given the opportunity to explore the six personality types and match them to the type of work they would wish to pursue. The importance of acquiring soft skills for such a career in banking such as resilience, adaptability and communication were also mentioned.
