On Friday 10th May, the girls who participate in the after school robotics program participated in the Malta Robo League. A competition which was held in conjunction to the Malta Robo Expo 2019. Schools around Malta were invited to participate and create a robot in theme of ‘Our Planet’.
Our school had two teams; Sea Savers and Bin Mad Detectives. Sea Savers created a water robot that detects rubbish in the sea and pick it up. While, Bin Mad Detectives came up with rubbish bins that are to be placed in public areas. These bins are capable of detecting rubbish and separating it according to the type of waste. Additionally, the girls had time to visit other stands and experience different technologies firsthand.
