On Friday 7 th February 2020 Mater Boni Consilii St. Joseph School Paola organised a morning ‘s seminar about Mindfulness in schools in collaboration with MISP U.K. The guest speaker was Ms. Claire Kelly Director of Curriculum and Training with MISP. Ms. Kelly gave a very interesting and engaging presentation about how to teach mindfulness in children to develop their self awareness and resilience. For this event there were over 200 educators from Church, State and Independent Schools
Towards the end of the morning the Hon. Dr. Owen Bonnici Minister of Education and Employment joined the seminar. The Minister thanked Dr. Vella headmaster and his team at Mater Boni Consilii St.Joseph Paola and Ms. Claire Kelly Director of Curriculum and Training with MISP U.K, for organising this seminar and bringing together educators from the 3 sectors, Church, Independent and State schools for the benefit of the students. Towards the end of the morning the Minister also presented the participants with certificates. This workshop was made possible through a collaboration agreement signed last June between Mater Boni Consilii St. Joseph School Paola and MISP U.K.
