Mindfulness at School


During this scholastic year, our school is collaborating with a number of UK partners in implementing  Mindfulness at class level. One of these programmes helps students to help support healthy active lifestyles. The Grade 6 girls are doing this programme during their P.E.

Lessons, and are now completing the Plyometric Unit which focuses on explosive power and strength through activities such as jumping, bounding, sprinting and hopping. Students have been involved in fun warm up activities, individual plyometric circuits and small competitive group tasks. They have developed their explosive strength through relay work over benches, cone jumping challenges and partner games. Although they find it challenging, they are also enjoying themselves and learning more.  Special thanks goes to our P.E. teacher Ms Denelza Bayliss who is coordinating this programme with our English partners.
