On Monday 7th October 2019 two students and their accompanying teachers arrived in Kaunas in Lithuania to participate in the first mobility for this scholastic year 2019-2020 as part of the Erasmus+ funded project MELT.
During the mobility form the 7th till the 13 th October 2019, Alessia Laudi and Maria Silvanovich represented the school Mater Boni Consilii St. Joseph School Paola. The girls had the opportunity to learn about Lithuanian life and traditions at the hosting school – Austra Gymnasium in Kaunas as well as in the respective host families. During their stay the students participated in several activities planned for carrying out authentic tasks with their buddies. The focus of the second year of the project was to work at building and identifying the qualities of a European MELT teacher.
Through out the week the students also had the opportunity to visit – the Basilica of the Resurrection of Christ as well as the Horse Museum, follow a Treetop walkway and Trakai Castle in Vilnius.
