On Monday 19th November 2018, the grade 2’s took part in a fun and engaging Maths lesson. As is usually done on a Monday, the class continued to do rotation activities where each group has a different engaging task based on a particular topic. The girls are given a set time which they can view on a visual timer on the IWB. The topic that was focused on was, Subtraction and for this lesson the girls were divided into 4 groups. Two of the groups were given the tablets – each group with a different activity. Other groups were engaged in a subtraction game and the other group needed to work out the subtraction sums on a laminated card. They changed stations every 10 minutes and each of the groups had the opportunity to experience the task in each station.
