On Wednesday 25 th April 2018, Ms. Rosianne Farrugia, the Numeracy Support Teacher led a session about Numeracy skills and held discussions with the parents of Pregrade helping them to understand how they could best support the students at home at acquiring basic numeracy skills.
On the same morning, Ms. Sonia Zammit from the Literacy Team held a very interesting talk with the parents of the students of Pregrade. During this presentation the Phonics Programme and phonological awareness were discussed and several suggestions were made on how the students could be supported at home to acquire reading and writing skills. Both sessions generated a great deal of interest amongst the parents that were present.
