On Friday 3 rd February 2017 Mater Boni Consilii St. Joseph School Paola hosted Learning Scoop for the first time in Malta. Johanna Järvinen-Taubert and Elina Harju two pedagogical experts in the field of teacher training were invited and hosted by Dr. Kenneth Vella to give an Overview of the Finnish Education System followed by a number of workshops.
Present for this workshop were about 100 educators and Senior Leaders from Church and Independent Schools in Malta.
Amongst the topics that were discussed during the seminar were the autonomy and trust enjoyed by Finn teachers and their Heads of School as well as the various teaching methods that are employed to keep students engaged.
