On Monday 17th December 2018, a new educational magazine, Goal aimed at children aged between 8 and 14 years old was officially launched at Mater Boni Consilii St Joseph School Paola. This magazine is published by the Malta Football Association with the logistical and editorial support of Union Print. Present for the launching were Mr Kevin Azzopardi, Media Officer of the football association; Mr Omar Vella (CEO Union Print) and Kayleigh Chetcuti who is a Hibernians and National team player. During the official presentation, Dr Kenneth Vella Headmaster thanked the Malta Football Association for taking such a good initiative and for choosing our school for the official launching.
Mr Azzopardi spoke about the role of the MFA and the idea behind publishing such a magazine. He encouraged the girls to do sports as this is healthy for their life. Mr Vella gave details about the type of articles that one can read in the first edition and confirmed that free copies will be distributed to state, Church and Independent schools. Kayleigh Chetcuti spoke about the importance of studying and practicing a sport in life. She also shared with the girls experiences she had in the past with Hibernians and the national team. Kayleigh also found the time to answer questions brought forward by the girls.
