On Monday 23rd March 2026, the Grade 6 class went to Kyphi Life Journey as part of the Let’s Talk Farming programme.
The girls participated in an engaging talk about beehives, where they discovered many fascinating facts about the busy life of bees. They were also given the opportunity to create their own candles using natural beeswax. The girls explored borage flowers, learning about their properties and their uses in cooking. Together, they prepared a honey infusion using the flowers. The day concluded with the preparation of a refreshing homemade lemonade, made from fresh herbs and lemon juice using all-natural ingredients.
Overall, it was not only an enjoyable and educational experience, but also a valuable opportunity to develop teamwork and to appreciate the richness of nature.
