On Tuesday 24th October 2017, during their science lesson the Grade 2 learnt about how to look after their teeth. The girls were engaged in a hands- on experiment. They saw how a boiled white egg turns brown when left overnight in a glass of coke. The egg represents their teeth.
During the experiment, the girls used a toothbrush and toothpaste to brush the egg in circular motions. This is the same technique they should use to brush their own teeth.
They were amazed when they saw the egg turning clean again but still not the original white colour. In this manner they learnt that it best to consume less soft drinks.
