Finnish Education and Pedagogy Conference 2019

Over 300 educators are taking part in a conference on Finnish education and pedagogy organised on Thursday 14th and Friday 15th February at the Dolmen Hotel in Qawra. This conference is being organised by Mater Boni Consilii St Joseph School Paola, in collaboration with the Tumas Fenech Foundation for Education in Journalism. It is being led by our Finnish partners Learning Scoop Finland and is also being attended by educators from England and Spain.

In his opening speech, Dr Kenneth Vella, head of school, thanked all the educators taking part in this conference being organised for the third year in a row. He also thanked the Tumas Fenech Foundation for Education with which the school signed a memorandum of understanding two years ago and which is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, and last but not least the Minister of Education and Employment the Hon Evarist Bartolo for his personal support and also for attending for the first part of the event.

Minister Bartolo also welcomed the participants and the Finnish trainers and congratulated Dr Vella and the staff of Mater Boni Consilii St Joseph school Paola and also the Tumas Fenech Foundation for holding once again the event and for giving the opportunity to educators from State, Church and Independent sectors to be present and to share their experiences.
