This scholastic year, esports lessons resumed as part of the curriculum at Mater Boni Consilii, St Joseph School Paola. After the signing of the MOU last year, and the interest and enthusiasm for the lessons from our students, such lessons were taken up for another scholastic year in collaboration with Level 1 Academy.
As part of the programme, the Senior 1 and Senior 2 students receive a comprehensive overview of the fundamentals of esports, including the professional pathways that professional esports bring with it. Esports lessons are a worthwhile addition to the school syllabus due to their nature – being fun, engaging, and exciting team-building activities, which promote leadership and support the improvement of social and communication skills. Furthermore, experience gathered via esports training, converts to knowledge and skills that can be utilised by a person in any area of their life, off the screens.
