On Monday 24th April 2023, the Senior 2 class had an educational visit at Arkafort, a company that supports businesses through technology, and offers a wide range of IT solutions, including IT support services and consultancy, infrastructure solutions, as well as software development, hosting and cloud services. The employees at Arkafort and the apprentices working there, explained what their job is about and what subjects are needed to work in that position. The students were also shown around the premises, including the Data Centre, where all the clients’ data is stored. The girls also had the opportunity to experience the VR and also took part in a quiz related to their ICT lessons. Apart from being an interesting outing related to the ICT subject, the students were encouraged to pursue studies leading to ICT-related jobs. This outing was organised by Ms Cristina Spiteri, the IT teacher.
