Display of Students’ Work – January 2024

The girls participating in the after-school mindfulness sessions have been working on material which was recently put up on the Mental Wellbeing board. During these sessions, the students learned about appreciation/gratitude, two important concepts which help them observe and appreciate what they already have in their lives. Being content with even the small little things they already hold is the first step to growing happiness. Moreover, they learned more about themselves – who they are and what they like and dislike. This self-awareness is important to help them grow up into confident human beings who can communicate their needs and express their opinions/ideas without fear. Hence allowing them to make skilful choices and decisions. The sessions are led by Ms Elaine Azzopardi, Mindfulness Trainer and Mental Health Lead Specialist in Schools Candidate with Leeds Beckett University and Minds Ahead UK.

Mindfulness sessions at school are currently taking place every Friday between 1.30pm and 2.30pm. If you would like more information on how to be part of this programme, you can make contact with Mindfulness with Elaine on their Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/mindfulnesswithelaine.
