On Friday 23rd February, the Grade 5 students participated in two tasks related to the Dinja Waħda programme. The first task was related to different town birds found in Malta throughout the year. Each group had a set of jumbled up cards which they had to re-organise in order to learn about each of these birds. Once they were ready, they shared this information with the rest of the group. The second task was a soil survey, in which they had to observe the type of soil, the plants and trees that grow in that soil patch and the organisms that might live there. These activities were both carried out in the garden located near our school. The activity was coordinated by Ms Nicole Inguanez with the help of Ms Bridget Cumbo.
