Between 18th and 26th November 2023, our school participated in the European Week for Waste Reduction. Different classes held various activities to raise awareness on this campaign. The Grade 2 class reused toilet rolls to create craft items. The Grade 3 class learnt about food packaging and watched a PowerPoint. The class analysed lunch boxes and carried out a discussion on alternatives for packaged food. Grade 4 carried out an activity where they labelled the class bins to ensure correct waste separation. Grade 5 reflected on the use of alternative sustainable packaging where less resources are wasted. The Senior 1 class held an engaging discussion on alternative packaging. Furthermore, this week the school installed a drinking water fountain which will reduce the purchase of water bottles from school. Well done to all the classes that participated in this campaign.
