On Monday 4th December 2023, the school held the blessing of the Advent wreath celebration. During the celebration, some Grade 4 girls explained the significance of advent, including the advent wreath. Fr Leonard Mintoff, the school chaplain, blessed the advent wreaths which the girls had prepared and also spoke about ways how we can prepare ourselves for the birth of Baby Jesus. He also referred to the theme prepared by our school for the advent period: giving myself to others. During the celebration, some students also shared reflections on the first Sunday of Advent. Sr Kalpna Tirkey, lit up the first candle of Advent. The activity was coordinated by the Pastoral Care Team. Thanks to Ms Mary Grace Grech, the Music teacher, for preparing hymns which were sung during the celebration.
