Advent Wreath Celebration – November 2022

On Monday 29th November 2021, the Grade 5 to Senior 2 classes celebrated the start to the Advent season. During the celebration, Grade 5 students explained the significance of advent, including the advent wreath. Fr. Leonard Mintoff, the school chaplain, blessed the advent wreaths which the girls had prepared and also spoke about ways how we can prepare ourselves for the birth of Baby Jesus. During the activity, the first candle of advent was lit while Faith Mizzi, of Senior 2, and Sarah Sacco, of Grade 6, read an extract from the Bible and a prayer. Thanks to Ms. Mary Grace Grech, the Music teacher, for preparing hymns which were sung during the celebration, and also to the Pastoral Care team for coordinating this activity.
