Advent Wreath Celebration  – November 2021

On Tuesday 30th November 2021, the start to the Advent season was celebrated with the students of Pre-Grade to Grade 4. During the celebration, Grade 4 students explained the meaning of advent as well as the advent wreath. Fr. Leonard Mintoff, the school chaplain, blessed the advent wreaths which the girls prepared for this celebration. During the activity, the first candle of advent was lit while Megan Gauci, of Grade 3, read a short prayer. At the end of the activity, Dr. Vella, the school Head, reminded the girls about the true meaning of Christmas – the birth of Jesus Christ and the love of Holy Mary towards Jesus, and also towards us. That is why we should always praise Jesus and Mary.

Thanks to Ms. Mary Grace Grech, the Music teacher, for preparing hymns which were sung during the celebration, and also to Ms. Sara Debono, who prepared the advent reflections. Well done to the Pastoral Care team for coordinating this activity.
