The Senior 1 Students Preparing A Healthy And Delicious Lunch – February 2026


On the 4th and 11th of February 2026, during their Home Economics lesson, the Senior 1 students got hands-on in the kitchen, preparing a healthy and delicious lunch. They made sandwiches using wholemeal bread like ftira, panini, and sliced bread, packed with fibre and goodness. Each student filled their sandwich with a mix of fresh salad, cheese, eggs, or tuna, making sure to create a balanced and tasty meal.
To go with their sandwiches, they also made a refreshing orange drink from scratch. The girls put a lot of effort into making their dishes look colorful and inviting, making lunchtime even more enjoyable. Throughout the activity, they kept in mind the Healthy Maltese Plate, making sure to include a good mix of nutritious ingredients.
The lesson was coordinated and led by Ms Rachel Sladden, Home Economics teacher.
