On Wednesday 7th and 14th January 2026, the Senior 1 students practised and performed the basic food preparation skills required for their upcoming practical assessments.
The girls practised a range of skills, including cutting, slicing, dicing, peeling, grating, and chopping. They applied these skills by preparing either a salad cup or a fruit kebab. Any leftover ingredients were used to create an additional salad or fruit kebab, encouraging minimal waste and good kitchen practice.
This practical session was particularly useful as it helped students build confidence and prepare effectively for their practical assessments in the coming weeks.
